Microsoft Teams Rooms Rolls Out Basic and Pro Plans

If you are a Microsoft Teams Rooms user, you should know that Microsoft has introduced two new plans: Teams Rooms Basic and Teams Rooms Pro. It will effectively replace the existing Teams Rooms Standard and Premium plans while offering different features and price points.

Microsoft introduces two new Teams Rooms Plans

Microsoft has overhauled two of its existing Teams Rooms plans. The Standard plan that was earlier available costs $15/device/month, whereas the Basic plan is now free of charge.

The plan offers every basic feature available on Teams Rooms and advanced management tools reserved for the Pro variant. It includes participation by up to 25 devices.

Moving on, the Pro offers pretty much more features than the basic plan. It has an intelligent audio and video feature that stitches together audio and video on Teams-certified devices.

You also get features such as together mode, bandwidth optimization, noise suppression, front row, and larger gallery view for those who want specific meeting layouts. There’s support for loop components and you can enjoy dual-screen support with the Pro variant now.

Microsoft Endpoint Manager exists for security, giving you options such as device history and activation, remote settings configuration, and AI-backed remediation, among others. It is available for $40/month, so you need it. It is still cheaper than the previous Premium license that was available at $50/mo.

The Teams Rooms is a great choice for small organizations to the enterprise segment, where there could be more rooms where people can easily connect and utilize the array of enhanced tools and features, unlike its competitors.

Both the plans have been announced and will function from September 1. Those who have existing licenses of the two replaced plans can still enjoy the subscription until they reach renewal, when they can get their hands on these new plans available onboard.
